Restaurant Weinstall in Castell

A very nice local, with a particularly attentive and great service. The kitchen is really of a high standard and you can always eat very tasty there. The wines are very good and you are always well advised. Conclusion: top restaurant, top service and top food We love coming to the Weinstall every time.

We were invited to a wedding there yesterday and are thrilled with the location! From the loving decor and excellent attentive service to the wonderfully delicious food, everything was just right! If we didn't live so incredibly far away, this would be our hangout. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the hosts very much for this all-round successful evening!

Yesterday as part of a celebration in the Castell wine stalls. Very ! Nice celebration, extremely nice host couple and staff, wonderful food and drink, the location is unique, we were there earlier. As always, we were more than satisfied ?, the restaurant, its cuisine, wines and the extremely attentive service are worth a detour to Castell.

Unfortunately it was way too cold, the door was open all the time. Was briefly closed on request. We ate the meal in our jackets. The menu is very clear (5 dishes - salad, pasta, cordon bleu, trout and wild curry sausage) The Sunday offer - soup, meatball, apple fritters - was only available as a complete menu. The plates from the greeting from the kitchen were not cleared before the main course, and we had to make room for the main course ourselves. We went to dinner three years ago and we promised more. But we won't visit the place anymore.

The two of us enjoyed the tasting menu with accompanying wines. I have to say that I can't remember having eaten this fantastic meal before! Each of the 5 courses was a revelation of aromas and textures and the wines always fit 100% and sometimes very surprised me. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The price was absolutely appropriate to what was offered. Thank you for the unforgettable evening!

Top food, very nice atmosphere

We celebrated our wedding in the Weinstall on August 1st, 2020 and are completely satisfied! From the first contact at the end of 2019, through the preparation of the offer, the responding to requests, the coordination of details, the entire service, etc., etc. to the final invoice, everything fits. We had a wonderful and unforgettable wedding celebration in the Weinstall. Many thanks to the whole Weinstall team and especially to Anuschka and Martin !! VG Kerstin & Torsten P.S. A wonderful evening, great location, best food, perfect and lovable service !!

I don't usually rate that often, but after the wonderful evening I wanted to give my girlfriend, I have to at least somehow reciprocate for the friendliness, the great service and the great food. The dishes were great, also visually presented, normally you wouldn't expect that in a typical wine bar, the boss even served us personally and we just felt very comfortable. Unfortunately we missed the ice cream counter, when the sun shines on Saturday it is definitely great to be able to treat yourself to an ice cream before or afterwards. We will be back!

Nice ambience and friendly service, good wine. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. There were five of us there. The choice of dishes was not very varied. Therefore we only had 2 different starters and main courses. Unfortunately, only a starter (char ceviche) was able to convince of this. The vegetable cocktail was unseasoned and somewhat unimaginative and was also served in a typical Ikea glass with a straw, which in itself does not promise a special taste experience. The main courses were both not good: the fish was completely unseasoned and cooked greyish, the meat full of tendons and inedible also cooked gray and completely tough, and that in two out of three portions. The third was edible only in places. Really very unfortunate, would have liked to have given the nice team and location a good rating. However, our criticism was taken seriously and reparation was tried, which unfortunately could not comfort the failed meal.

On Saturday we were at the wine bar for lunch. We had a very nicely set table. Mrs. Anuschka Schulze had received us very friendly and served us. A revelation was then the chestnut foam. A glass of Scheurebe and the wine of the day - a cuve'e red was very well made and perfectly suited our dishes, "Young Vegetables" and "Breast of Goose". The vegetables were "al dente" delicious and fresh. The goose was tender and with the sauce, finely seasoned a never-ending genusws! To conclude 2 espresso and we were very friendly adopted, not without us the program for 2020 plugged. We will come back and amnimate our friends. In the summer we were here last for coffee on the terrace, where you can recover very well from a vineyard hike. The family Schulze will soon get a "STAR" - at least we would not be surprised. Ambience 1A. Service 1A. But ... the quality of the food has to be worked on clearly. Few fresh produce, in some cases ready meals. There is definitely no understanding of seasoning in the kitchen. The price / performance ratio doesn't fit here under any circumstances, unfortunately the wine from the Princely House doesn't do that anymore either, especially since it was really delicious.

Very good quality at high prices. Food is delicious even if the portions for Franconia are rather small. The wine selection leaves nothing to be desired for friends of the Franconian wine. Here are also bottles on the map you only get in the area around Castell.

Went there at lunchtime and it was exquisite! Quality that is otherwise rare! Motivated staff and a wonderful atmosphere! Very clear recommendation!

We just like it here. The food is great, the service as well and the premises couldn't be nicer. No matter whether inside in winter or on the cozy terrace in summer.

Very pleasant atmosphere, especially outdoors on the terrace. The food is excellent and the service courteous and friendly. Upon request, the origin and background of each wine can be explained.
